Emily is the current Managing Director of Wansati Communications, an agency specialized in institutional communication across Africa.  Prior to that,  she worked as the Communication Director for Africa with the ICF (The Investment Climate Facility).   She adds value with her experience in communication and corporate management earned from over 10 years working in the Mobile Telephony industry of Africa. She holds a certificate in Executive Corporate Management from London Business School (UK) and a BA from Betty Owen center (NYC).

It was in the year 2000 that she initiated a strong career in Africa by joining the telecoms industry,  to then become the first African Women CEO of a mobile operator having worked in Gabon, Burkina Faso and Madagascar.

She was distinguished with several awards: African Woman’s executive leadership award (Sierra Leone); Yenenga Award for recognition in women’s entrepreneurial leadership (Burkina Faso) and was nominated by Jeune Afrique Economia amongst the TOP 50 Managers of the African Continent.

Emily speaks several languages and has been a speaker at several panafrican events on gender issues, free trade, Ted Talks and universities.  She has recently initiated a new engagement as an international consultant for capacity building on communication and leadership skills.
